How does something become nothing? What do we view as visible or invisible in our suroundings. What objects inhibit our homes but we constantly overlook their contribution to our lives. Their silent, ghostly pressence. See through/clear materials celebrate what is inside them, people give little applause to the see through punnet. Why is this?

              During this body of work I investigated the boundries of what we as consumers and human beings consider to be something or nothing. Where does one end and the other begin? This often is a very difficult question to answer. Through the use of 3 key materials (clear plastic-nothing, found objects-inbetween, wood-something) I aimed to gain a greater knowledge of what we consider as something and what we dis-gard as nothing. Does opacity dictate that an object is definitely something?
